Each background color and shape variation told seasoned Marines exactly which unit the wearer called home.

2nd Battalion, 5th Marines was one of three rifle battalions that formed the backbone of the 5th Marine Regiment within the 4th Marine Brigade. At Belleau Wood in June 1918, the battalion's Marines advanced through open wheat fields under devastating German machine gun fire, engaging in hand-to-hand combat in the dense forest. The casualties sustained on June 6, 1918 were the highest single-day losses in Marine Corps history up to that time. The battalion continued to fight through Soissons, Blanc Mont, and the Meuse-Argonne Offensive, helping to shatter the four-year stalemate on the Western Front.

Perfect For: 2/5 Marines veterans across all eras, WWI heritage collectors, Belleau Wood history enthusiasts, and descendants of the Marines who fought with the 4th Brigade in France.

Through the wheat fields and into legend — 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0932/8479/4647/files/officially-licensed-usmc-5th-marines-2nd-bn-wwi-patch_1.jpg?v=1793006474
